Hot off the press: underCover 0.7
In the spirit of "release early, release often", I'm pleased to announce underCover 0.7. While several little bugs have been fixed, the big new feature is the export functionality. underCover can now parse your iTunes library and copy the artwork into your album folders. Most music players (except, of course, iTunes) will then detect the covers automatically. Yay for interoperability!
What's in store for underCover?
Now that underCover can do its main task fairly well, what features could really make it kick ass? Well, here are a couple of ideas I've got:
Backup and Export
If you invest a couple of hours to bring the artwork for your music up to snuff, you don't want to loose your work and do it again just because your hard disk committed suicide.
Related to backups, there should be an option to export the artwork to your actual music folder. As an example, underCover could put the artwork into the album folders, so that other media players can find it there.
Translations
Not much to say here. German will probably be the first language, as that is my first language.
Enhance Image Editor
While I don't plan to develop a Photoshop competitor inside of underCover, the image editor could use a couple of enhancements, e.g. Hue/Saturation and better cropping interface.
Fancy Stuff
There's got to be a marginally useful feature that could justify the inclusion of PictureFlow
Any other ideas?
